An E-Petition is asking UK Prime Minister to drop the appeal against the Chagos Islanders' right to return home.

Petition submitted by Robert Bain of UK Chagos Support Association – Deadline to sign up by: 09 November 2007

Not sure why Caymanians should care? Watch Stealing A Nation an online video report by John Pilger.

"This tells a story literally 'hidden from history'. In the 1960s and 70s, British governments, conspiring with American officials, tricked into leaving, then expelled the entire population of the Chagos islands in the Indian Ocean. The aim was to give the principal island of this Crown Colony, Diego Garcia, to the Americans who wanted it as a major military base. Indeed, from Diego Garcia US planes have since bombed Afghanistan and Iraq. The story is told by islanders who were dumped in the slums of Mauritius and in the words of the British officials who left a 'paper trail' of what the International Criminal Court now describes as 'a crime against humanity' ." -imdb.com

How you can help:

FIRST - read more at: Corruption Free Anguilla

SECOND - Sign the petition on the number 10 website at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/chagosappeal

THIRD - forward this to friends and email groups in your and other territories - and in the UK, -giving them the opportunity to sign the petition.

FOURTH - urge your local media to give publicity to a letter from a group of UK MPs, MEPs and members of the House of Lords which should appear in a UK daily paper on 2 November.

Just wanted to say Thank you for your blog. I really appreciate such resources where people write about real life, real problems, real joy... Though I spend much time in the Internet, cannot always find something fresh and worthy to read. Even news articles (which I mostly find at http://www.picktorrent.com search engine) do not always contain interesting info. Your resource belongs to my favorites.

If you want to buy a car, you will have to get the home loans. Furthermore, my mother all the time utilizes a collateral loan, which seems to be the most fast.
